Parental Separation & Loss: an adolescent perspective

Friday 22 nd September 2017
1.30pm – 5.00pm
Venture House, Stratford upon Avon
£50

(includes refreshments and sandwich lunch)

Pete English has worked as a youth worker and schools’ counsellor for over 30 years and now works in 3 large secondary schools in Solihull.

In this half-day workshop, Pete will focus on adolescent development and how loss, in its widest sense (not just bereavement) affects this particular age range. He will look at some real life scenarios, highlighting how to explore if a young person is resilient, comparing ‘normal’ grief with traumatic loss and sharing his resources that he has used over the decades.

Pete will encourage group participation and the sharing of clinical practice and ways of working with this age group.

The workshop would be suitable for counsellors and also those who work pastorally with young people.
